Camp FAQs

Everything you need to know to feel confident about your child's summer adventure.

Who can attend and is experience needed?

Session 1 is for rising 2nd through 4th graders and session 2 is for rising 5th through 9th graders. No previous acting experience is needed!

What are the camp dates and daily hours?

Session 1 runs from July 6th through 10th and Session 2 runs from July 13th through 24th. Both sessions run from 9:00 am through noon and there is after care available for session 1.

Where is the camp located?

We are hosted at the Eden United Church of Christ, located at 5051 W Gunnison St., Chicago, IL 60630. It's a safe, accessible neighborhood spot for our Northwest side families.

What should my child bring each day?

Your child should bring their script, a pencil, a lunch, and a water bottle.

What if I have to miss a day?

We understand things come up and are okay with a day or two being missed in the first two weeks. However, week 2 is "tech week" and it is important all campers attend every day.

Will there be a final performance?

Absolutely! Both sessions will include a performance. Session 1 performance will be at 11 am on July 10th and session 2 will performance will be on July 24th at 6:00 PM. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the kids to showcase their hard work to family and friends.

What show will we be performing this summer?

We will be performing an abridged version of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

How is casting decided?

The first day of camp is an audition day. All campers will receive a speaking role but lead roles will be determined by auditions and experience.

What is the tuition?

Session 1 is $300 and session 2 is $600. Both sessions offer a $25 discount for early bird registration (sign up by April 15th) and an additional $25 off if you sign up with a friend or sibling.

How do I register my child?

Registration is simple and secure through our online portal. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend signing up early to secure your spot.

What does the typical daily schedule look like?

The day starts with physical and vocal warm-ups, followed by scene rehearsals, a supervised snack break, and improv games.
